When you’re the world’s most decorated swimmer and Olympian, it’s safe to say you can live wherever you want. After the 31 year old added 5 gold medals and a silver in Rio, he leaves the sport of swimming with 28 total Olympic medals.
Now, he can ride off into the sunset and retire to his $2.5 million Arizona mansion. He bough the Paradise Valley based, tile-roofed mansion back in 2015 when his fiancee Nicole Johnson became pregnant with the couple’s first child.
Check out the amazing home below which has plenty of room for an expanding family. It totals some 6000+ square feet and contains five bedrooms, six and a half bathrooms, four fireplaces, and of course – a big, beautiful pool. Another feature of the home is it’s incredible view of Camelback Mountain.
So what does the future hold for Phelps? In a Fox 5 San Diego report, it mentions he plans on coaching at Arizona State University, where he trained for the Rio Games.
